Question 1

What is a building completion audit?

Accepted Answer

A building completion audit is a comprehensive verification that a constructed building matches the approved plans, regulatory requirements, and developer's specifications before handover and title registration.

Question 2

Is a completion audit mandatory for handover in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Handover procedures depend on the project, jurisdiction and applicable requirements. Confirm these with the developer and relevant authority. An agreed-scope audit documents findings; it does not issue an occupation permit or regulatory approval.

Question 3

What does the audit verify?

Accepted Answer

We check plan compliance, MEP system commissioning, fire safety installations, structural integrity, finishing quality, common area completion, and all regulatory certificates required for the occupation permit.
