Question 1

What is new build handover snagging?

Accepted Answer

New build snagging records accessible, visible defects in finishes, MEP systems and safety items before handover. The photographic report helps you raise items with the developer; repair responsibility and timescales depend on your agreement.

Question 2

When should I book a snagging inspection?

Accepted Answer

Book the inspection before your handover walkthrough. This gives you an independent defect list to present to the developer, rather than relying on their own quality control team.

Question 3

What defects are most common in new builds in the UAE?

Accepted Answer

The most frequent findings are hollow tiles, uneven paint, AC balancing issues, plumbing leaks, window seal failures, and incomplete fire safety installations. Our engineers document every item with photographs.
